with overnights in Carlisle outward & return

Strathpeffer is a Victorian town that owes its fame & history to the
healing spa waters. The town has the Highland Museum of Childhood
located in the old Railway Station - Well worth a visit.

Day 1 Travel to Carlisle for an overnight stop at the Crown & Mitre Hotel
Day 2 Cross the border into Scotland for our hotel
Days 3 - 6

At leisure in Strathpeffer, plus a trip to Loch Ness (Look out for the monster!!) - A visit to the village of Beauly, home of the Highland Tweed House, for some retail therapy, and the 13th century Priory ruins, which are associated with Mery Queen of Scots.

A full day is planned in Inverness, 'Capital of the Highlands', giving a chance to explore this attractive and ancient city, plus a trip to a Whiskey Distillery, where the mysteries of whiskey making will be revealed, and a chance to buy some single malt.
Day 7 Depart our hotel and travel south into England for our overnight stop at the Crown & Mitre Hotel in Carlisle.
Day 8 Return to Waterside.
Included in cost Coach travel - 7 nights half board - Tea/Coffee after dinner - Entertainment on 2 nights in Scotland.
